This is soft leather with a resistance standard that is determined by law, making it suitable for covering sofas, armchairs and other articles.
Leather for furnishings is available with different finishes, namely printed or natural (full grain).
The thickness ranges from approx. 0.9 mm to 2.3 mm.
Printed leather is always retouched and corrected to remove defects.
Most common prints: Madras, Dollar, Fake grain.
Natural leather does not need to be retouched. They are more prestigious and can present some faults in their pattern. In addition, the pattern can be different according to the thickness: either tighter or wider.
The rigidity classes can be consulted in the guide section.
The thickness of the leather has an effect on the softness felt, because the thicker the leather the more difficult it is to fold, but this does not change the surface softness.
